  • Ashikaga Flower Park, Japan

As Jessy wanders through Japan in search of inspiration, we too have adventure on our mind…

While we were researching far flung destinations for her to visit, we unearthed the Flower Park in Ashikaga.

This ephemeral utopia boast a stunning array of 5,000 azalea bushes and 150 year old Wisteria trees, making this a literal floral daydream.

No one visit to the park is the same, with each season bringing new, unique blooms with it.

Follow Jessy’s Japan frolics on our Instagram via @moltenstore and our Snapchat (MOLTENSTORE).

  • The Wave – Arizona & Utah, USA

What a dream to see the illusion of the sea’s soft aesthetics on warm, red soil.

The Wave, located between Arizona and Utah in the USA, delivers this incredible geological wonder.

As sand dunes have slowly taken a solidified form of rocks with the years gone by, they display ribbons of colours replicating and immortalising the movement of an ocean wave; a pure illustration of our world’s everlasting changes.

Our imagination runs wild at the sight of this red ribbon wonderland…

Tomorrow I take to the skies for Japan in search of beautiful goodies.

This trip, my first international voyage for the year, marks the first in a string of scheduled sojourns in pursuit of inspiration. Over the next three months, I’ll be travelling to Tokyo, Tulum, Los Angeles, Rome, Florence, Paris and beyond…

Some of these destinations are, on paper, work-related. Travelling to meet with our makers, source new finds… Others hold court more in the realm of ‘pleasure’ than ‘business’.

But for a creative entrepreneur, is there much distinction from one to the other?

    In the 2009 documentary, The September Issue, iconic Vogue US Fashion Editor Grace Coddington drives through Versailles. Staring thoughtfully out the window of her taxi, she muses;

“In my early years as a fashion editor I worked with (photographer) Norman Parkinson and he taught me to always keep my eyes open, never go to sleep in the car, keep watching, because whatever you see out the window can inspire you.”

For me, travel is a love story in real time. There is poetry in the vulnerability you feel when you arrive at a new place, attempt to greet a stranger in their native language, and discover new ways of being, doing, and existing for the first time.

I can’t wait to share this chapter of the adventure with you. I’ll be instagramming and Snap-chatting (add us via MOLTENSTORE) up a storm whenever I find something I think you’ll love, so stay tuned.

    Stay wild,

    x Jessy

When we discovered the Cave of Crystals in Chihuahua, Mexico, our hearts burst with excitement, this crystal wonderland has jumped to the top of our destination wish list.
